It’s almost Post Time…. The Belmont Stakes will crown a new Champion on Saturday. At the same time, we’ll see a Triple Crown Winner

Wow! I’m going out on my limb again… but the horse (Big Brown) hasn’t let me down yet. Judging from the way he finished the Preakness (5+ lengths ahead of the competition - AND ears forward AND eager to run some more) after that very impressive acceleration he exhibited at the head of the stretch…. I can only repeat: WOW!

He has touted competition in Casino Drive (you KNOW I love the name). But, let’s remember that Casino Drive is green (only two races lifetime), shipped from Japan (he’s gotta be pooped - ’cause that seems to show up AFTER a race here [The Peter Pan]). I just can’t justify betting him to win over Big Brown.

But, with Big Brown going off at 2-5 (or worse) he is NOT a good bet (again). If you know me, you also know that I ONLY bet to Win - NO exotics!

But, I had to make an exception for the Preakness (good thing I did) and I will again for The Belmont Stakes.

It’s too soon to tell you my bets, so come back on Friday to read them. But I can tell you now that I will again be touting some of the exotic bets because; a) there’s no Win bet, b) I don’t want to skip the race (which would be my normal choice) because it’s the Belmont Stakes and we have a live prospect for the Triple Crown, and c) I don’t wanna! LOL

So, for now, just be satisfied that Big Brown will Win, and here’s the lineup of Big Brown and the “also rans”…
