Olympics Highlights and Lowlights as Buzz B Berkeley sees them…

It’s not congratulations that moves me… nor is it observations of the events, but observations on the Medal Ceremonies.
More specifically, Gabriel (Gabby) Douglas’ total disrespect for the flag!
In both of the Gold Medal ceremonies, she didn’t look at the flag AT ALL, she didn’t put her hand on her heart.
Contrast that with the other four members of the Championship team: ALL were respectfully watching as the flag was raised, and ALL had their hands on their hearts… All but Gabby!
Then, during her Gold Medal ceremony for the Individual Championship, again, she looked around without respect for the flag… never even glancing at it… and her right hand was not only NOT on her heart, but was holding a bouquet of flowers (her left hand capable of holding flowers was clenched behind her back)!
Contrast that with the Gold Medal ceremony only a few minutes later wherein Michael Phelps, not only placed his hand over his heart, but stared intently as the flag was raised.
Good for him! Good for the other four members of the “Fab Five”… SHAME on Gabby!
To me, it’s the “Fabulous Four and Gabby too”!!!!
