Horse Racing: and then there were Nine?
June 2, 2009 9:40 am Sports Betting, Horseracing Handicapping, My POVAnother one bites the dust!
Today, it was announced that another Belmont Stakes entry was scratched.
This time
… it was announced by Nick Zito that he and owner Len Riggio had decided to “pass on the Belmont and look for another spot for him.”
Their horse in question? “Nowhere To Hide”. (I’m avoiding the puns)
I hadn’t high hopes for a win by this horse anyway, who was a 43 - 1 longshot in the Kentucky Derby (but, obviously THAT doesn’t eliminate him - lol). With little to get excited about him, I will say that he is a stalker and that bodes well for the Belmont’s grueling distance.
Hint: A “stalker” will win!
Tomorrow, the remaining entries for the Belmont will be announced along with their post positions…
… stay tuned
