Horse Racing: The Preakness as I see it unfolding…
May 13, 2009 10:09 pm Horseracing Handicapping, My POV, Sports BettingI’ve charted the Preakness, and I know the winner:
Here’s how I see the race unfolding…
When the gates open, the immediate charge will bring four horses to the front, and I see them four-wide:
from the rail outwards: 7, 11, 12, 13
Now, going into the all-important first turn…
I see 13 in front, about a length in front of 2 horses running side-by-side:
inside = 11, outside = 12
followed closely behind by another duo:
10 on the inside and 9 on the outside
followed by the duo:
1 on the inside, 7 on the outside
Next, as they come out of the turn:
13 is still a half-length in front of 12 who’s coming up on the outside.
but bunched in right behind her is 11 on the rail with 9 outside him
a bit back to 10 on the rail followed by 1, with 7 outside of him.
Going into the last turn:
it’s now 13 ahead of 9 by a length
followed by 11 on the inside with 12 on the outside
followed by 7 and then 1
Now, half-way into the turn:
it’s 13 on the inside with 9 on the outside – head to head
followed by 11 on the rail
behind him also on the rail is 12 with 7 outside of him
right behind them is 1 running wide, then, a bit back but inside is 2
Next, coming into the stretch run:
It’s 13 on the rail with 9 outside her
2 is gaining behind them on the inside but with no place to pass
back then to three-wide: rail to outside: 11, 3, 7
tight behind is 1, then 12
At the finish:
It’s 9 in front,
followed by 3 bunched at the wire: inside to outside: 13, 2, 3
followed by another trio: 11, 12, 7
There you have it as I see it.
See you at Bodog, and Good Luck!!!!
